The trough pan - chain conveyor belt: The trough pan is continuously connected to the chain in series, forming a trough pan - chain conveyor belt. A pair of rollers is set at a certain spacing at the bottom of the conveyor belt to play the role of support and guidance. It is resistant to wear and tear, dust, moisture, snags and showers. The groove discs are generally made of stamped steel plates. The chains are circular chains, plate and sleeve roller chains, single, double or multiple chains, etc. The whole chain is made up of several sections of chains connected by special links.
Drive unit: The power source for driving the conveyor. It consists of an electric motor, a hydraulic coupling, a reducer and a brake. The drive unit is usually centrally located at the head of the conveyor and can be driven by a single machine or by multiple machines. When the drive power is large, but also by the strength of the traction chain and the use of space and other constraints, then in the appropriate location along the length of the machine set a number of intermediate booster drive station, in order to section of the way to drive. When multiple drives are used, the drives should have a power balance and controlled starting acceleration.
Sprockets: There are two types of sprockets: driving sprockets and redirecting sprockets. The chain wheel is made of cast steel, but in order to meet the strength requirements, it is also available with an alloy steel tooth crown and hardened tooth surfaces. The frame is mainly composed of the head frame, the middle frame and the tail frame. The head frame is used to install the head drive and drive sprockets; the middle frame includes all the upper and lower tracks for the rollers to run, which are connected section by section, and the connection of the section tracks needs to maintain a smooth transition, and are generally laid on the ground; the tail frame is used to install the redirection wheels and tensioners, through which the conveyor belt turns back.
Sweepers: Sweep the conveyor belt troughs to keep the bearing surface clean. Commonly used sweepers are flexible scrapers, roller brushes, elastic scrapers and water jets.
Electrical control and protection devices: The electrical control and protection devices are basically the same as for belt conveyors (see belt conveyor electrical control, belt conveyor protection devices).
Classification According to the laying and running characteristics, it can be divided into two types: linear and curved.
Straight type plate conveyor The conveyor is laid in a straight line and can be adapted to appropriate undulations along the vertical surface, and most of the chains used for traction are plate chains, sleeve roller chains and also circular chains. The chains are available in single, double and multi-chain forms.
Bending type slat conveyor The conveyor can be redirected to bend in the horizontal plane and run in a circular arc at the bend. If the radius of curvature is large, the conveyor belt is guided to the bend by the rollers at the bottom of the belt via the bending guide rail; if the radius of curvature is small, the belt is guided to the bend by a special guiding mechanism of the traction chain. The traction chain is a circular chain fixed in the middle of the slotted plate, mostly single chain traction, individual double chain is also used, the chain should be in the middle of the conveyor belt.
